As reported previously, it has now been officially announced that Pushpa 2: The Rule starring Allu Arjun in the lead, stands postponed from its scheduled Independence day release, and will now be hitting theater screens in December instead of August 15, 2024. The new Pushpa 2 release date is December 6, 2024. 

An official statement from the makers on Pushpa 2: The Rule's release date change reads,

"Pushpa 2: The Rule is one of the most anticipated Indian films. Following the immense success of Pushpa: The Rise, our responsibility to deliver excellence has increased significantly. We have been tirelessly working to complete the movie and release it on time. However, due to the remaining shoot and subsequent post-production work, we will not be releasing the film on August 15th, 2024.

 
This decision is made in the best interest of the film, the audience, and all stakeholders. Our goal is to provide a memorable experience on the big screen without compromising quality. The overwhelming response to our teaser and songs across all languages has been heartening, and we promise to deliver a film that you will truly love.

A production venture of Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, Pushpa 2: The Rule also stars Fahadh Faasil, Rashmika Mandanna, Prakash Raj, Jagapathi Babu, Sunil, Mime Gopi among others, and has Devi Sri Prasad for music.

The action drama will be presented in North India by AA Films, in Kerala by E4 Entertainment and in Karnataka by N Cinemas. T series music label holds the audio rights to the movie.
