Kalki 2898 AD starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Disha Patani, Keerthy Suresh as the voice of an AI droid/vehicle named Bujji, is an upcoming sci-fi movie that is all set to hit theater screens from June 27, 2024 [Thursday]. The movie is currently gearing up for a trailer release at 7 PM today, and at this time the official X handle of Kalki 2898 AD has re-tweeted the Copyright notice the team first sent out last year. 

Kalki 2898 AD is one of the most expensive movies to be coming out of Indian cinema in recent times. The Telugu film which is also releasing in Hindi under the same title, is set against the backdrop of a dystopian society, and chronicles the events of the Hindu mythology Mahabharata, from the year of 3102 BC (the beginning of Kali Yuga, the era of Hindu deity Vishnu's tenth and final avatar) to 2898 AD. 

Naturally a lot of curiosity, and expectations surround the movie Kalki 2898 AD. Given that the advance bookings for the film have also begun in prime overseas locations like the US, the copyright notice being reiterated is seen as a preventive measure against leaks and spoilers. 

With story, screenplay and direction by Nag Ashwin and dialogues by Sai Madhav Burra, Kalki 2898 AD is a production venture of Vyjayanthi Movies, and the film's technical crew includes Santhosh Narayanan for music, Djordje Stojiljkovic for cinematography, and Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao for edits.
