Biographical sports drama Maidaan starring actor Ajay Devgn in the lead released in theaters on April 10, 2024, and the Bollywood movie has now made its digital premiere on Amazon Prime Video. Maidaan's OTT release date is June 5, 2024 [Wednesday], and the movie was made available to stream at midnight IST in the Hindi language, with English subtitles.

Maidaan recounts the true story of India’s greatest football coach from 1952 to 1962. How coach Syed Abdul Rahim built a great team from nothing, facing challenges from the system, and lead the team to success in the 1956 Olympics and later in the Asian Games is what the film is all about. 

Maidaan has story by Saiwyn Quadras, Akash Chawla, Arunava Joy Sengupta, screenplay by Saiwyn Quadras, Aman Rai, Atul Shahi, Amit Sharma, dialogues by Ritesh Shah, Siddhant Mago, and direction by Amit Sharma. A production venture of Zee Studios, Boney Kapoor's Bayview Projects, and Fresh Lime Films, Maidaan has AR Rahman for music, Tushar Kanti Ray, Fyodor Lyass (sports portions) for cinematography, and Dev Rao Jadhav, Shahnawaz Mosani (sports portions) for edits. 

The film also stars Priyamani, Gajaraj Rao, among others.
