KGF movies fame Prashanth Neel gave an epic action film titled Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire written and directed by him, and starring Prabhas in the lead last year. Also known mononymously as Salaar, the movie released in theaters on December 22, 2023 and co-starred Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruthi Haasan, Easwari Rao, Jagapathi Babu among others.  

Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire is currently gearing up for a release in Japan, and the film's Japan release date is July 5, 2024. A Japanese release trailer has also been unveiled for Salaar by makers Hombale Films. 

Salaar comes with a runtime of 175 minutes i.e. 2 hours 55 minutes, and has Ravi Basrur for music, Bhuvan Gowda for cinematography, Anbariv duo for stunts, and Ujwal Kulkarni for edits.

Salaar: Part 1 Ceasefire is the maiden part of a two-part franchise. The movie follows the story of friendship between Deva (Prabhas), the exiled prince of Khansaar, and Varadha (Prithviraj), the current prince of Khansaar. When a coup d'état is planned by his father's ministers and his relatives, Varadha enlists Deva's help to become Khansaar's undisputed ruler.
