4+ years since the S. Thaman composed Telugu song Butta Bomma went viral and ruled the charts of music enthusiasts everywhere, the song is once again in the news for capturing the attention of Brit pop sensation Ed Sheeran. Butta Bomma, part of the Allu Arjun, Pooja Hegde starrer Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo (2020) released as a single on December 23, 2019, and went on to become singer Armaan Malik's biggest hit ever. 

Ed Sheeran is currently in Mumbai, India and has been popping up on several Hindi film celebrities' social media posts. Armaan Malik's Instagram reel was one of them, and in it Armaan and Ed were seen matching steps to the Butta Bomma song, originally choreographed by Jani Master.

Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo was the first Indian feature film soundtrack to have more than 1 billion-views on YouTube, and the raging success of Butta Bomma played a vital role in acheiving this status. Butta Bomma continues to remain the most viewed Telugu song on YouTube, making it the most viewed of label Aditya Music's as well.
