Kalki 2898 AD is an upcoming Telugu, Hindi bilingual that is written and directed by Nag Ashwin of the National Award winning film Mahanati (2018) fame. A sci-fi film that has been compared to Hollywood's famous Star Wars franchise in terms of its visuals, Kalki 2898 AD has Telugu actor Prabhas in the titular role. Bollywood stars Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani and Tamil star actor Kamal Haasan play important roles in the movie.

Kalki 2898 AD was supposed to hit theater screens today i.e. January 12, 2024 but production delays have caused a postponement of the film's release. The new Kalki 2989 AD release date is May 9, 2024 and the same was announced with a new poster from the movie. 

Kalki 2898 AD is produced by C. Aswani Dutt, founder of Vyjayanthi Movies. The 600 Cr budget movie has dialogues by Sai Madhav Burra, cinematography by Djordje Stojiljkovic, music by Santhosh Narayanan and edits by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao.
