Superstar Rajinikanth who awaits the release of Jailer on August 10, 2023, caught a special screening of the movie at Sun TV office earlier today. The 72-year old star who is known to be extremely spiritual, leaves for a Himalayas pilgrimage trip very soon.

While the Himalayas trip has been a norm with Rajini for the most part of his career, the actor has not been able to go on one owing to several health issues he battled around the pandemic. However with his health back on track, Rajinikanth is expected to be embarking on this spirtual retreat before Jailer releases in theaters. 

So the star is said to have ensured to watch a screening of the movie before he leaves on his trip. Jailer written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar is Rajinikanth's 169th movie. It is also the actor's 4th film with Sun Pictures who are a giant TV conglomerate, and have 11 films including Jailer and an upcoming Dhanush starrer (D 50) to their production credit. 

The movie is a multi-starrer action-comedy with names like Ramya Krishnan, Tamannaah, Vinayakan, Jackie Shroff, Vasanth Ravi, Shivarajkumar, Yogi Babu, Uday Mahesh (Family Man's Chellam Sir fame) among others in it.
