Maaveeran [Mahaveerudu in Telugu] is an upcoming Sivakarthikeyan starrer that is all set to hit theater screens from July 14, 2023. Shanthi Talkies, producers of the film have now updated that the movie has cleared censor with an U/A. Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies is releasing Maaveeran in Tamil Nadu.

Also starring Aditi Shankar, Mysskin, Yogi Babu, Saritha among others, Maaveeran is written and directed by Madonne Ashwin of Mandela (2019) fame. The movie revolves around a Tamil newspaper's cartoon illustrator, who is a coward for violence. He is up against a violent politician (Mysskin) in the film and what turns this frightened cartoonist into a full blown-action hero is what forms the crux of Maaveeran.
The movie's technical crew includes Bharath Sankar for music, Vidhu Ayyanna for cinematography, Yannick Ben for stunts, Shobi Paulraj for choreography, Kabilan, Yugabharathi, CM Lokesh, Vishnu Edavan for lyrics, Kumar Gangappan, Arun Venjaramoodu for art and Philomin Raj for edits.
