Actor Sivakarthikeyan's upcoming film Maaveeran [Mahaveerudu in Telugu], written and directed by Mandela (2021) fame Madonne Ashwin is all set to release in theaters from July 14, 2023. The film which is a production venture of Shanthi Talkies will be released in USA via Ahimsa Entertainment. Sivakarthikeyan's last Tamil-Telugu bilingual Prince (2022) was not received well in the US; despite the same Ahimsa is planning on 300+ screens for Maaveeran/Mahaveerudu which is a big overseas scale for the Tamil actor.  

An idea-based fantasy film surrounding the life of a comic played by Sivakarthikeyan, Maaveeran/Mahaveerudu also stars Aditi Shankar, Mysskin, Yogi Babu, Saritha, Telugu actor Sunil, among others. The movie has Bharath Shankar for music.
