Actor Rajinikanth's upcoming action thriller Jailer which is written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, produced by Sun Picutres and features Tamannaah Bhatia as the female lead is scheduled to release in theaters on August 10, 2023. Shooting of this movie has wrapped completely and the makers announced the same with a couple of behind-the-scenes (BTS) stills from the sets.

Rajini, Tamannah and director Nelson are seen celebrating the wrap with Jailer's cast and crew and a huge cake. The movie has Anirudh for music and also stars Mohanlal, Jackie Shroff, Shivarajkumar, Telugu actor Sunil among others. 

Actress Mirnaa Menon who plays a pivotal role recently spoke about Rajinikanth's Muthuvel Pandian character and said that the cop 'would be loaded with mass, class, stylish elements'. Muthuvel Pandian would infuse terror, and also be responsible, she has said.
