Tamil filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj made an impressive debut in 2017 with the hyper-link film Maanagaram. This action thriller has now been officially remade in Hindi by director Santhosh Sivan. Titled Mumbaikar, Lokesh Kanagaraj's story has been adapted by writers Himanshu Singh, Amit Joshi and the Bollywood production is gearing up for a direct OTT release this June 2, 2023.

Starring Vikrant Massey, Vijay Sethupathi, Ranvir Shorey, Sanjay Mishra among others, Mumbaikar will stream on Jio Cinemas and a trailer from the film can be seen here:

Mumbaikar follows the story of how four lives in Mumbai get intertwined due to an accidental mistake, and how these groups must work together to evade a vicious gangster.  The movie marks Vijay Sethupathi's Hindi feature film debut and the actor is reprising Sundeep Kishan's role from the original.
