Current hot buzz in the Malayalam film circles is that Mollywood star actor Mohanlal will be seen in a cameo role in Rajinikanth's upcoming movie Jailer. The movie is a production venture of Sun Pictures and is written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. If true, this screen combo is truly a veteran casting coup, given Kannada star Shivarajkumar is also a part of Jailer.  

Touted to be an action drama based on the life of prison inmates, Jailer also stars Ramya Krishnan, Vasanth Ravi, Vinayakan and Yogi Babu among others. The film has Anirudh for music and is expected to hit theater screens on April 14, 2023 for Tamil New Year.
