Mohan Raja who has directed a lot of Telugu film remakes, has helmed a Telugu film for the first time and the movie is a remake of the Malayalam hit Lucifer (2019) starring Mohanlal in the lead. Titled GodFather in Telugu, the movie stars Chiranjeevi in the lead and is produced by Ram Charan's Konidela Production Company and RB Choudary's Super Good Films. 

GodFather released in theaters on October 5, 2022 and has been getting unanimous positive response from all over. The movie's day 1 box-office was officially unveiled today and the film has collected Rs. 38 Cr. in worldwide gross.  

GodFather also stars Nayanthara, Salman Khan (cameo), Satyadev Kancharana, Puri Jagannath, Murli Sharma among others. The movie's story follows the death of a Chief Minister, and a mysterious figure knowns as 'The Godfather' who tries to unfold the CM's son-in-law's nefarious plans.
