Vendhu Thanindathu Kaadu (VTK) starring Silambarasan TR in the lead is all set to hit theater screens from September 15, 2022. The movie directed by Gautham Menon, was announced to be releasing in two parts only during the film's trailer launch and film's writer B Jeyamohan may have revealed during a recent interview, as to why. 

According to Jeyamohan, VTK is 'lengthy' because it is a 'life journey story'. As indicated in the film's trailer, the journey of Silambarasan TR from a blue-collared rural man to a violence-filled city world is what VTK unfolds. Jeyamohan has also said that despite the violence, VTK will not be a usual action film and will be slow-paced instead. 

Vendhu Thanindathu Kaadu: Part 1 - The Kindling also has Siddhi Idnani, Radikaa Sarathkumar, Neeraj Madhav among others in important roles. The movie is produced by Vels Film International and has AR Rahman for music.
