Actor Dhanush is gearing up for his first theaterical release in 16 months tomorrow and the movie titled Thiruchitrambalam, is also getting a Telugu dubbed release titled Thiru. The Telugu trailer of the film was unveiled recently and the same can be seen above.

Dhanush's character is named Thiruekambaram alias Pandu in Thiru and he works as a food delivery executive, much to the chagrin of his police officer father (played by Prakash Raj). How Pandu navigates love and life with only his grandfather (Bharathiraja), girl best friend (Nithya Menen) and Ilayaraja's music as solaces forms the rest of the story.

Thiru releases in theaters on August 18, 2022. The movie is produced by Sun Pictures and also stars Raashi Khanna, Priya Bhavani Shankar among others. Thiru has Anirudh for music and comes with a runtime of 2 hours 10 minutes. Other details of the film here.
