Shanthi Talkies, producers of Sivakarthikeyan's upcoming film Maaveeran took to Twitter this evening to officially announce that their film's shooting began on August 3, 2022 with a pooja ceremony. They have also released some stills from the event, where Sivakarthikeyan could be seen with the film's female lead Aditi Shankar and her director-father Shankar.

Shanthi Talkies made a mention of thanks to the Indian 2, RC 15 filmmaker for his presence at the event. Directed by Mandela fame Madonne Ashwin, Maaveeran is titled Mahaveerudu in Telugu and its technical crew includes Vidhu Ayyanna for cinematography, Bharath Sankar for music, Philomin Raj for edits and Kumar Gangappan for art direction.
