Brahmastra is an upcoming series of Hindi language movies from director Ayan Mukerji, who has films like Wake Up Sid (2009) and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013) to his credit. Part 1 of this series titled Brahmastra Part One: Shiva is all set to release in theaters on September 9, 2022 and Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor plays lead in it. 

Ayan Mukerji has now released a video explaining the vision behind creating an 'astraverse' for his story, which essentially means a universe of ancient Indian weapons or astras. In the 4-miute video (view above), Ayan sets up the premise of the story which sounds a lot like Mavel's Eternals [a super-power secret society living among mortals and protecting a higher power], some key concept arts along with their onscreen output are played and we get to learn about the different astras and their powers. 

Brahmastra Part One: Shiva also stars Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy among others. The story revolves around Shiva who is on the brink of an epic love, with a girl named Isha. But their world is turned upside down, because Shiva who is blessed with the power of fire learns that he has a mysterious connection to the ultimate weapon i.e. the Brahmastra.
