Gargi, titled after a prominent female figure from the Vedic times is an upcoming Tamil movie starring Sai Pallavi in the lead. The film which is an emotional courtroom drama and revolves around the titular character's fight for justice for her father is all set to release in theaters on July 15, 2022. While the trailer garnered a lot of attention for its promising content, recently many within the industry have been spotted raving about the movie itself.

Gargi, written and directed by Gautham Ramachandran is also releasing in Telugu, Kannada dubbed versions and a BTS video of the movie confirms that Sai Pallavi has self-dubbed in all three languages. Gargi is produced by Blacky, Genie & My Left Foot Production and stars actor Kaali Venkat in an unconventional role.
Suriya's 2D Entertainment is presenting Gargi in Tamil with Sakthi Film Factory as the distributor, Rana Daggubati is presenting the movie in Telugu with Suresh Productions, Global Cinemas as distribution partners and Rakshit Shetty's Paramvah Studios is presenting the movie in Kannada with KRG Studios for distribution.
