Actor Kamal Haasan met with the press following the box-office success of his recent release Vikram and he was asked whether a collaboration with actor Vijay is on the cards anytime soon. Kamal Haasan has been open to producing films with other A-list stars like Rajinikanth, Suriya, etc and the same is what seems to have prompted the question as well. 

Kamal answered, "We (Vijay and I) have talked before (on collaborating). There should be a right time and story for it. He (Vijay) should have the time (to do the movie) and I should be ready with all arrangements (for producing the film)..People have been questioning my intentions of calling him 'Ayya'. (Late) Sivaji sir used to refer to me as the same..It is all out of affection."
