Vikram produced and headlined by Kamal Haasan has opened to rave responses and the day 1 box-office for the movie is also looking up on the bright side as well. A direct Tamil movie, Vikram was dubbed and released primarily in Telugu as Vikram Hit List too and both versions of the movie have been doing good numbers all across the world. 

At the Tamil Nadu box-office, Vikram was a solo release but elsewhere it faced competition from the Prithviraj starrer Major (Malayalam) and the Akshay Kumar starrer Samrat Prithviraj (Hindi). Despite this, Vikram managed to emerge at the top in its day 1 box-office collections.

Vikram which also stars Mollywood's Fahadh Faasil in a key role, has recorded the third best opening by a Tamil movie in Kerala, behind Beast (2022) and Sarkar (2018). In Tamil Nadu, Vikram's opening day number is expected to come in the top 3 this year along with Ajith's Valimai and Vijay's Beast.
