Actor Karthi who currently has Sardar and Ponniyin Selvan in the pipeline is expected to begin shooting for his 24th film this year. Tentatively titled Karthi 24, the movie will be helmed by Joker, Gypsy, Cuckoo director Raju Murugan. Latest update is that ace cinematographer Ravi Varman has joined the movie's crew and an official announcement on the same can be expected soon.

It is also being said that actor Vijay Sethupathi will be seen playing villain in Karthi 24, which will be produced by Dream Warrior Pictures.
