RRR faces roadblock as Kerala theaters join trade union strike

The joint platform of central trade unions will be going on a two-day nation-wide strike on March 28 and March 29 (Monday, Tuesday) and in addition to roadways, transport workers and electricity workers, theaters workers in the state of Kerala will supposedly be joining it.

The strike is being held in protest of the the anti-worker, anti-farmer, anti-people and anti-national policies of the BJP-ruled central government and movie theater folks in Kerala's state capital Kochi, seem to have already decided to show solidarity.

It remains to be seen if the theaters will be shut-down for two days in the rest of the Kerala cities too. This development has come as a major roadblock for the recent PAN-Indian release RRR, which came out on March 25, 2022. The movie is currently running in both 2D and 3D formats in the state and on day 1, it grossed Rs. 4 Cr. in Kerala. [Full Day 1 Box-Office Report]
