2019 Malayalam political thriller Lucifer is being remade in Telugu as Godfather and the movie stars Chiranjeevi, Nayanthara in the lead. Latest to join this star cast is Bollywood's famous Salman Khan, who will be seen in a cameo apperance in the movie. Back in November 2021, film's composer S.S. Thaman had said that Salman will be appearing in a dance number alongside Chiranjeevi in the movie.

Directed by Mohna Raja, Godfather also stars Satyadev Kancharana, Gangavva among others and the film's technical crew includes Nirav Shah for cinematography and Sreekar Prasad for the edits. Godfather is produced by Ram Charan's Konidela Production Company and RB Choudhary's Super Good Films.
