Amidst the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine, Indian TV channel Zee News is facing the heat for glorifying Russian president Vladimir Putin using punch dialogues from Telugu movie Pushpa. Pushpa: The Rise starring Allu Arjun in the lead is home to widely popular phrases like "Did you think Pushpa meant flower, I am fire" and "I will not bow down". Using it in association with a conflict aggressor, much less in the middle of bombings and loss of lives has been called out as preposterous.

Currently Russian missiles have pounded the Ukranian capital Kyiv and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is still putting up a brave front without any support from International communities or allies. Russia's war with Ukraine is over the latter's interest in joining The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), thereby freeing itself from the clutches of its tyrant neighbour.
Russia's fear stems from the fact that if Ukraine joins the North Atlantic Alliance, then its worthy opponent US, which is also a founding member of the defensive NATO, gains prominence over its borders.
