Actor Ajith's Valimai is all set to release in theaters on February 24, 2022 (Thursday) and the movie had cleared censor on December 31, 2021 with an U/A. Now it has emerged that post the certification of the movie, the makers voluntarily opted for some changes in the final cut and the same was granted on January 6, 2022.

According to the documents of these final changes, Valimai makers had opted to cut 8 minutes from the movie, which included a 4 and a half minute bike chasing scene with Ajith in it. However re-edited version of this scene was placed elsewhere in the movie and with the addition of other edits,  the run-time was brought to 2 hours 59 minutes 5 seconds (179. 05 minutes).
