Thalaivar 169 (tentative title) is actor Rajinikanth's newly announced film with Sun Pictures. Director Nelson Dilipkumar is helming this project and Anirudh is composing music for it. Latest buzz about Thalaivar 169 is that actor Sivakarthikeyan may be joining the cast for an important role. MovieCrow also hears that cinematographer Manoj Paramahansa has been roped in for cranking the camera for this film.

An official announcement on these updates however await. Some reports also suggest that actor Silambarasan TR may join the movie in some capacity, as it is the actor's life-long dream to be on a Rajini movie.
