Amidst buzz that makers are planning to release the sequel to Allu Arjun's latest hit Pushpa on December 17, 2022, MovieCrow has learnt that Allu Arjun will begin shooting for the said sequel in March this year. Director Sukumar had planned Pushpa as a two-part movie and following the phenomenal success of Pushpa: The Rise, Allu Arjun seems to have prioritized Pushpa: The Rule aka Pushpa 2 over his other projects.

While Pushpa: The Rise was about on how Pushparaj, a red sandalwood smuggling coolie rises to the ranks of managing the crime syndicate, Pushpa: The Rule will focus on the face-off between him and his menacing adversary Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat (Fahadh Faasil).
