Written and directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, Jersey is the official remake of his 2019 Telugu sports drama of the same name. The Hindi version stars Shahid Kapoor in the lead and the actor emulates a worn-out, middle aged cricketer, who is tries returning to the sport. Mrunal Thakur plays his wife and Shahid's real life father, actor Pankaj Kapoor plays his coach. 

Jersey is all set to release in theaters worldwide on December 31, 2021. The movie is produced by Geetha Arts, Dil Raju Productions, Sithara Entertainments and presented by Balaji Telefilms and Pen Marudhar Entertainment.
