Bell Bottom is Akshay Kumar's upcoming movie which is touted to be an espionage thriller, set in the 80s. The movie was slated for a theatrical release this week but with COVID still around, movie theaters in most parts of India have not re-opened. 

Now it is being said that Bell Bottom is eyeing an August release, most likely August 13 to make optimum use of the long holiday week that follows (August 15 - Independence day, August 17 - Parsi New Year and August 19 - Muharram).

Though an official announcement on the release date awaits, Jayantilal Gada of Penn Studios who is distributing the film has however confirmed that Bell Bottom will be releasing in 3D as well. He was quoted as saying,

“Bell Bottom was made in 3D only and.. it looks amazing in 3D. When the world reopens, we will have to compete with the international content.. To ensure that, we will have to bring quality films with unique ideas to the theatre,” 

Directed by Ranjith M Tewari, the movie is produced by Vashu and Jackky Bhagnani and also stars Huma Qureshi, Vaani Kapoor, Lara Dutta, and Adil Hussain among others. The film is said to be based on true life events.
