It was officially announced on Tuesday that S.S. Rajamouli directed RRR, which stars Ram Charan, Jr. NTR, Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn among others will have its first single release on August 1, 2021. A period action-drama, the film has music by MM Keeravaani and audio rights of the film in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada have been acquired by both T-Series and Lahari Music. 

The first single will be unveiled at 11:00 AM that Sunday in all five languages and it has been titled Dosti in Hindi, Natpu in Tamil and Priyam in other languages. The song has been crooned by Hemachandra, Anirudh, Amit Trivedi, Vijay Yesudas and Yazin Nair in different languages. 

The lyrics have been penned by Sirivennela Sitaramasastri, Madan Karky, Riya Mukherjee, Mankombu Gopalakrishnan and lyricist Varadaraj.
