Sardar is actor Karthi's upcoming film with director P.S. Mithran which also stars Raashi Khanna and Rajisha Vijayan among others. The movie like all other Tamil productions is all set to resume shooting, given lockdown restrictions are eased and it is being said that Sardar will begin filming starting July 10, 2021.

It is also being said that a grand set has been erected at Gokulam Studios, Chennai for the movie, which will see Karthi in dual roles of father and son. Sardar is produced by Prince Pictures and has G.V. Prakash for music.
