Malik starring Fahad Faasil in the lead is a political crime drama which has awaited release for more than a year now. Anto Joseph, producer of the movie has now confirmed that owing to extended lockdowns in the state of Kerala and movie theaters not re-opening, Malik is heading for a direct OTT release.

The producer mentioned about being in talks with a leading OTT platform and buzz is that Malik will premiere on Amazon Prime Video along with Antho Joseph's other star-movie Cold Case starring Prithviraj.

Written and directed by Mahesh Narayanan, Malik also stars Nimisha Sajayan, Joju George among others and is touted to be one of the most expensive Malayalam movies to be made in 2020-2021.
