The 93rd edition of the prestigious Academy Awards also known as the Oscars announced their shortlists for Documentary Feature, Documentary Short Subject, International Feature Film, Makeup and Hairstyling, Music (Original Score), Music (Original Song), Animated Short Film, Live Action Short Film and Visual Effects today.
While Malayalam film Jallikattu which was India's official entry for Best International Feature failed to make it to the shortlist, Bittu, another film from our country made it to the next round. Directed by Karishma Dev Dube, Bittu is among the top 10 live action short films competing to make it to the final nominees of Oscars 2021.
