Recently, it was announced by Sun Pictures that composer D. Imman will be scoring music for their upcoming project Suriya 40 (tentative title). The collaboration is Imman's third with director Pandiraj and Sun Pictures and first with actor Suriya. Director Pandiraj via the video announcement also revealed that Imman has given a 'deadly', 'mass' theme music for Suriya 40.

Less than 24 hours into the update on Suriya 40, actor Suriya was seen out and about attending a wedding ceremony and clicks of the actor from onlookers trended on social media under the movie's hashtag. Since the actor is soon expected to begin the movie, his 'look' was assumed to be for Suriya 40 as well.
