Master, Tamil cinema's highly anticipated movie at the moment is gearing up for a grand theatrical release on January 13, 2021 and despite obstacles such as the looming pandemic and highly priced movie tickets (Tamil Nadu is selling upto Rs. 800 per ticket), advance bookings for the film are in high demand.

In addition to tickets selling out like hot cakes for the first day first show locally, neighbouring states like Andhra Pradesh and Telengana have been reporting hugely positive numbers in advance sales, early morning shows (in AP) included.
At a time when Coronavirus COVID-19 poses as a huge threat to theater audience, these numbers not only solidifies Vijay's market range but also comes across as an Himalayan achievement. Overseas, locations like the USA have reported premiere shows to be sold-out collecting approximately $ 65 K+ while New Zealand was reported to have sold out a record 1,616 tickets.

In Australia, the pre-sales gross for the movie is said to be around A$ 201 K+ from over 70 locations and these numbers are neck and neck with the top opening gross for a Tamil movie in the said locations.
While it is too early to determine if this high-demand streak will continue post-release, Master sure seems to be on the right-track of bringing a box-office revival for movie theaters across the globe.
