Big budget Tamil movies which have high anticipation riding on their release, were not able to release in movie theaters this year. However, with the re-opening of cinema halls at 50% occupancy, film-makers expect the movie audience to slowly but surely warm up to the idea of indulging in a theater-experience again.

With that in mind, they have come up with tentative release plans for their respective biggies headlined by star-names and this is what the list looks like for now:

• Eeswaran (Simbu) - January 14, 2021 (Pongal)/ Fenbruary 14, 2021
• Jagame Thandhiram (Dhanush) - January 14, 2021 (Pongal)
• Annaatthe (Rajinikanth) - April 14, 2021 (Tamil New Year)
• Valimai (Ajith) - May/June, 2021
• Doctor (Sivakarthikeyan) -  May, 2021
