Recently cinematographer Santosh Sivan confirmed that he is remaking Lokesh Kanagaraj's 2017 hit film Maanagaram in Hindi with Vikranth Massey in the lead. While Massey is reprising Sundeep Kishan''s role from the original, it is being said that Vijay Sethupathi has been roped in for an important role as well. 

While it has been reported that Vijay Sethupathi's character was there in the Tamil Maanagram as well, fans speculate he will be playing the don in the movie, which was originally played by actor Madhusudhan Rao.

Interestingly, Vijay Sethupathi has also played a mobster in Lokesh Kanagaraj's yet unreleased movie Master and it is to be seen how well the actor delivers his Hindi lines, given he is dubbing on his own.
