Seems like a lot is riding on upcoming Tamil language action thriller Master, which is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and stars 'Thalapathy' Vijay in the lead. In the past few days, several names in the film industry business have indicated that if there is one movie which can bring back the theater crowd in Tamil Nadu with the Corona scare still looming large, it is Master.  

The release of Master in pegged to save the dwindling movie theater economy and quotes from famous producers, distributors and exhibitors in anticipation of the same is listed here:

• Paneerselvam, General Secretary (Tamil Nadu Theatre and Multiplex Owners Association) - "Vijay's Master should be screened 1st to eliminate public fears.. We expect an order to be issued by the 15th of this month. We will be sanitizing and cleaning after every show in movie theaters. So the general public need not worry about the cleanliness and hygiene. We will be strictly following the rules and regulations issued by the governments."

• Tiruppur M Subramaniam, President, TNTMOA - "Master should release first..I'm in talks with the producer (Xavier Britto)"

• Producer Dhananjayan - "In a survey we conducted, 72% of the 26000 audience who voted said that they will come to theaters to watch Master. Such is the anticipation surrounding the film. Finally it's Thalapathy Vijay 's Master which has to save the industry to get back on its feet."

• Producer/Distributor Keyar - "Vijay is the No:1 and No:.2 position in Tamil cinema. Only Bigil and Baahubali 2 touched the 75 Cr share mark in Kollywood so Master has a high chance to beat it. If the film releases after we control the pandemic, it would help the producers"
