Telugu film industry had one of its biggest blockbusters this year in the form of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, a family entertainer directed by Trivikram Srinivas and headlined by Allu Arjun. The Tamil audience too has been accustomed to the movie, thanks to the viral reach of the song Butta Bomma which also featured Pooja Hegde.

Reportedly this Telugu film is now in the talks of being remade in Tamil and several directors are vying to grab the rights. While the directors listed in the race include names like Mohan Raja and Vijay Shankar, the actors who are supposedly racing for the remake are Dhruv Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Sivakarthikeyan and Simbu.

While official confirmations await, it remains to be seen which of these names will eventually get to star in the story which focused on father-son relationship.
