After unveiling the first look poster of Jyothika as a lawyer, the makers of Ponmagal Vandhal have released the first single from the film titled 'Vaa Chellam'. The song has been sung by Suriya's sister Brindha Sivakumar and the song has been released on the occasion of her birthday. The melody number has been penned by lyricist Vivek and has music composed by Govind Vasantha of '96' fame. The song also gives a sneak peek of Jyothika's character in the film.

Directed by debutant JJ Fredrick, Suriya's 2D Entertainment is bankrolling the project. The film touted to be a thriller will also star Bhagyaraj, Parthiban, Pandiarajan and Pratap Pothen in crucial roles. The film has music by Govind Vasantha of 96 fame and cinematography by Ramji.
