STR's Maanaadu - A Venkat Prabhu Politics is finally happening after 2 years of facing multiple delays, public spats and recently producer Suresh Kamatchi took to his twitter handle to announce the official cast and crew of the film. Veterans S.A. Chandrasekhar, Bharathi Raja are now a part of Simbu's film which also has actors Kalyani Priyan (female lead), Premji Amaren and Karunakaran on-board.

Director Venkat Prabhu who has confirmed that Simbu plays a Muslim youngster in the film has announced a contest on twitter, wherein those interested can come up with guesses of what STR is named in Maanaadu. The winner will be revealed on Simbu's birthday [February 3] and will get to hangout on the sets of the movie for a day.

A political thriller, Maanaadu is expected to go on floors soon and its technical team includes Yuvan Shankar Raja for music, Richard M Nathan for cinematography, Praveen KL for edits, Rajeevan Nambiar for production design and Silva for stunts.
