Rajinikanth's Darbar directed by AR Murugadoss which hit the screens worldwide on January 9 has taken a thunderous opening at the Box Office despite releasing on a working day. The film has bagged positive response from audience and critics.

In Australia, the film has raked in A$161,823 on its opening day and has made it to the Top 5 list of highest grossing Kollywood films on Day 1. Darbar has secured the fifth spot in the list which is dominated by Rajinikanth and Vijay.
