Stills of Dhanush in the get-up are currently going viral on the internet and it is believed just like Petta, Dhanush sports this look in a flashback portion in D 40.

Karthik Subbaraj who directed Petta is also the director of Dhanush's gangster thriller and it is expected to release in 2020. Produced under Y Not Studios, the film whose title has been speculated to be Suruli has music by Santhosh Narayanan.
