The intense portrayal of Deepika Padukone as the acid-attack survior in Chhapaak has finally been unveiled in a trailer, and Padukone puts up a stunning performance as Malti in the video. Directed by Meghna Gulzar, Chhappak is based on the true acid-violence story of Laxmi Aggarwal and the aftermath she endured.

Jointly produced by Fox Star and Padukone herself, Chhapaak also stars Vikrant Massey in an important role and is scheduled for a release in January, 2020.
