The Telugu version of Karthi's Kaithi (Khaidi) seems to have done extremely well with that language audience and acknowledging the same, the film's producer S.R. Prabhu and actor Karthi met with the local press at Hyderabad recently.

The Kaithi success meet saw Karthi hinting at a sequel (just like his director Lokesh Kanagaraj) and even shared that Lokesh has only asked for 30 days of his call-time for shooting the part 2. [Karthi has also said in a recent interview that Kaithi should be left alone for it is good as a standalone film].
