Ajith's 60th film Valimai which was launched with an official pooja ceremony a few days ago is currently gearing up to begin shooting and according to latest updates, the film is all set to begin filming from December 20, 2019 i.e. right before Christmas. While an official word on the same is not out yet, it is also being suggested that the movie will be first shot at the capital city of Delhi.

An H. Vinoth directorial, Valimai is said to feature Ajith in a role of a cop and has Nirav Shah for cinematography and Yuvan Shankar Raja for music. Earlier producer Boney Kapoor had described the film as an 'action thriller that uses Ajith's passion for speed'. 

Keerthy Suresh and Nayanthara have been associated with the project before while an official announcement on the female lead awaits. Actress Nazriya Nazim is also said to have been approached to play Ajith's sister in the film.
