In a dampener of a move, the Tamil Nadu Government on Wednesday announced that they have ordered movie theaters to cancel any special shows for Bigil and Kaithi, which are releasing on October 25, 2019 two days ahead of Diwali day. Through a tweet, the Minister for Information and Publicity, Kadambur Raju who had earlier announced a consideration for early morning shows declared,
An official order for cancelling the special shows for movies has been sent out. A refund will be issued to those who had booked their tickets in advance. This move will restrict overcharging of movie tickets.
சிறப்புக் காட்சிகளை ரத்து செய்யக் கூறி அறிக்கை அனுப்பப்பட்டுவிட்டது.

This means that Bigil and Kaithi shows on release day will be beginning only at or after 8 A.M, as the rule in Tamil Nadu allows theaters only five shows on weekends and holidays [Both these films will have 4 days of 5 shows as they are releasing on a Friday and the following Monday is a government holiday].
