Asuran, Dhanush's fourth time collaboration with director Vetrimaaran is gearing up for a release on October 4, 2019 and at this time, it has been made official that the film has cleared it censor formalities, obtaining an U/A certification from the CBFC. 

A production venture of V Creations, Asuran is based on the Tamil novel Vekkai and has Dhanush in dual roles. Manju Warrier plays female lead in this film which has music by G.V. Prakash.
