Thalapathy 64, actor Vijay's next with director Lokesh Kanagaraj is the talk of the town right now, what with the director visiting Rameshwaram temple with his technical crew and the producer Xavier Britto hyping the movie at a recent event.

While speculations are rife that the movie will begin shooting in the month of October, reports suggest that it will be post the release of Bigil (Vijay's upcoming) and Kaithi (Lokesh's next) both of which are scheduled for a Diwali release. However, some industry sources believe that the movie might begin a little earlier i.e. by third week of October, 2019. 

Actors Vijay Sethupathi and Malavika Mohanan of Beyond The Clouds, Petta fame have so far been brought on board, with the technical crew including  Anirudh for music, Sathyan Sooriyan for cinematography and Philomin Raj for the edits.
