First Impression Report (FIR) of Dhanush, Vetrimaaran's Asuran Trailer

PUBLISHED DATE | 09/Sep/2019

The trailer of Asuran, director Vetrimaaran's upcoming film with Dhanush dropped on Sunday and the response to the video has been quite overwhelming. Despite known factors such as Dhanush in dual roles and the story being adapted from certain chapter of a Tamil novel named Vekkai, the video managed to surprise everyone without revealing too much of its story.

The first thing one notices about the film is that it comes with not one but three Asurans - Dhanush with his chameleonic performance, Vetrimaaran with the promise of an intriguing story and composer G.V. Prakash whose background score in the video was as much a highlight as the other two. Manju Warrier's Tamil diction is another sweet surprise.

Vetrimaaran and Dhanush have already given us memorable films such as Polladhavan, Aadukalam and Vada Chennai and by the looks of it, Asuran will be another add to the list of these intense drama movies. Also, since Vada Chennai was welcomed with the lengthiest red carpet in 2018, it wouldn't be a surprise if the same courtesy is extended to the violence and the dark tone that Asuran comes with.
